| Hobbies: | I have a broad set of interests...from reading, running and gym, music and the very odd swing of a golf club - to bungy jumping, cliff jumping, sky-diving and skiing. Movies are great and sometimes mainstream but I do enjoy a Tarantino, something with great actors like Brad Pitt, Leo di Caprio (who tend to chose interesting roles in interesting films), Natalie Portman (so intelligent and un-classic beauty). Oh and I have always had a thing for fantasy and science fiction. Sometimes it is just awesome to escape a little. Something that will surprise...up until recently I have always sung in choirs (the most recent being the Jhb Symphony Choir). | | Hot spots: | I like to try something new, but being seen at the "in" spot does not rock my boat in the slightest. I like trying cuisines from other cultures (Indian, Chinese, Japanese, etc). But sometimes there is nothing better than a great pizza at Col'Cacchio's or something of that nature. | | Sports: | Running, Skiing, Swimming, Cycling, Volleyball, Walking / Hiking, Weights / Machines, Golf | | Favorite things: | Tolkien, blue, The Boss, Queen, George RR Martin, comrades marathon, slow kissing and gentle exploring, Gandalf, Black Swan, 12 Monkeys, Inception, Chopin, green, the sea, scuba diving, the smell of old books, the smell of new books, passionate, non-racism, sushi, chicken vindaloo, an afternoon braai, a day of cuddling and movies, a day of pushing boundaries and comfort zones, Salman Rushdie, Good to Great, dominated, meditation, nature. | | Last reading: | I have just completed the Definitive Autobiography of Freddy Mercury and am now reading Fury by Salmon Rushdie. | Date me: | I have been in JHB for nearly 2 years having moved up here from CT. I needed to get out of CT and just love the JHB vibe. After my ex and I went our separate ways it has been important for me to regroup. I am intelligent, have an amazing job, have been told I am good looking (although getting into 4,5 times a week exercise routine as I would like to tighten things up a little ;-)). I have a broad range of interests, can be serious, but have a very naughty side to me. I am not looking for someone to fill a hole for me. I am confident enough in myself to be looking for a mutual partner. I like to push the envelope a little and am extremely inquisitive. That said there is something of an old fashioned gentleman in me - a lady needs to be treated right (unless in the throes of passion behind closed doors/far from prying eyes she asks not to be!!!) | | What I want: | There needs to be attraction - but the combination of physical, intellect, humor, etc is what matters. I would like to find someone who is self-assured, knows what she wants, and is not afraid to ask (whether that be to have the door opened for her or to be restrained by handcuffs and gently dominated). Open-mindedness and free thinking but also rooted in basic values. Ideally an uninhibited nature or at least the willingness to try something new. |
