| Date me: | You may want to get to know me because I can be useful, entertaining, romantic and generous. Professionally, I earned a master�s degree in chemistry and won some awards for academic excellence � due purely to hard work rather than genius. My kaleidoscopic career has seen me meander through mining, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, detergents, oil & gas, research, trading, importing, consulting and technical sales. My specialty is civil explosives, emulsions and surface-active agents and many former peers had stated I am an excellent scientist, modesty aside.
I am adventurous and explorative, having travelled very extensively both to mainstream tourist hot-spots, but more so to exotic off-beaten-track destinations. I love cuisine, gardening, birds, dachshund doggies and all mammals: Mother Nature is my best friend and comprises my idea of spirituality. I also enjoy surrealistic art, a broad variety of musical genres, Jungian psychology, world affairs, creative molecular architecture, cosmology and deep conversations. In bygone times, I was a competitive award-winning weight trainer and also a hiker and waveskier.
Born prosaically in Jo�burg, I have lived all around South Africa over the decades and spent a few years overseas. I consider myself to be an out-the-box, lateral thinker and therefore am also very open-minded and inventive. Consequently and modesty aside, it therefore by extension can be said that I am a superb lover hehe. I love cosy rainy days, warming my hands at a fireplace, slaking a dry throat with ice-cold fruit juice, admiring a beautiful artwork (including a woman) and embarking on creative, ambitious challenges of any sort of flavor. I am an achiever in life, successful due to slavery and determination rather than innate talent. While I have fallen hard and taken some terrible knocks, I have emerged brave and stronger, and am self-assured; I know myself very well. I am friendly and outgoing, but do not suffer fools gladly and over the decades learned to become outspoken against injustices, especially cruelty.
Being highly passionate and an extremist, I am an all-or-nothing type in everything I do and set out to accomplish. Mundane, routine maintenance-type pursuits bore me to death and I need constant stimulation and re-invention or you will find me becoming slack, useless and unemployable. I have been self-employed since 2005 and am my own boss, the captain of my ship with ultimate freedom.
I am capable of immense warmth, love, caring and sharing, but some have misinterpreted me as being selfish and snobbish, as I can be somewhat mysterious, an enigma. Well, I have donated 16% of my estate to charity and have �walked with kings but not lost the common touch�: I have chatted with a Nobel laureate yet treaded the alleyways of Mother Teresa�s Calcutta slums. I am offbeat and unusual, not a mainstream thinker, and am known for being refreshingly original.
| | What I want: | A tall order and fanciful thinking on my part perhaps, but I would hope you could be adventurous, enthusiastic, passionate, warm, affectionate, compassionate, vivacious, tender, gentle � � � yet with a wild and slightly insane streak on the odd occasion. You must want to give love as much as you are loved in return; it�s a two-way street. And sadly for you, yes yes, tragically you must thoroughly enjoy bedroom antics, as the Good Lord meant it to be fun over there hehe. |
