Interests
Hobbies: Nature would be my first choice - I love to go hiking (backpacking) at least once a month. Also do some white water kayaking as well as flat water touring - at least in summer. Ride my bicycle to work, weather permitting - due to it being quicker than being stuck in traffic, though cant always do that as I might need to go to meetings in the car. Dont particularly like jogging or the gym - just find it boring.

Series - various, though prefer UK to US (e.g. New Tricks instead of CSI). Otherwise, Big Bang, Vikings, GoT, Defiance, Kill Joys, etc.

Films, anything that interests me. Action, drama, suspense, romance, humour, sci-fi, etc. You get good and bad in all, though I tend to laugh myself silly when watching horror - most of it is just so "stupid" - I blame Scary Movie for that, ever since I saw it all horror has lost its appeal.

Though if I had a choice between the film and the book, 99% of the time Id go with the book. Readings been one of my vices since childhood, and I live myself into the story much easier when reading than watching.

Well, thats probably enough ... there has to be something left to talk about if we meet.
Hot spots: Id probably prefer taking you for a pick-nick in a botanical garden if its a good day. Actually anywhere we can talk (and hopefully laugh) with each other, so any sort of intimate restaurant should do very well.
Sports: Walking / Hiking, Cycling, Swimming, Billiards / Pool, Auto racing / Motorcross
Favorite things: I tend to mix it up rather than having a single favourite - thus try to go with something different as much as possible. Like Italian, French, Greek, Indian, Malay, etc. Usually prefer salty/savoury/sour to sweet, dont like too hot though (prefer tasting with my tongue, not my throat).

Colour? All of them I guess, though have a weakness for the blue hues, especially those in the darker and deeper shades.

Music? Ah well ... most genres, since the 50s Id say. Probably easier stating what I dont like: Rap, most Jazz, classic (though some are nice), opera, most country, and definitely not into Afrikaans (especially "Boerremusiek").
Last reading: That would change on a weekly basis (especially if I have to list the non-fiction I read for work or to better myself). Perhaps then rather just state what fiction I read over the past month or so:

Black Flag by Oliver Bowden, The Odessa File by Frederick Forsyth, Raising Steam by Terry Pratchett, Delta Connection by Hammond Innes, The Widows of Dune by Brian Herbert & Kevin J. Anderson, Forever Odd by Dean Koontz.
Common interests: Travelling, Performing arts, Music and concerts, Museums and art, Movies / Videos, Hobbies and crafts, Fishing / Hunting, Dining out, Coffee and conversation, Book club / Discussion, Cooking, Camping
Descriptive information
Date me: You've got to be kidding! I hate sales pitches. I could write any old thing here, how would anyone know? What qualities do I have? Ideals? Values? ...

You'd definitely be best served to find that out for yourself. If you don't like what you see, what's there to loose? An hour or so?
What I want: Firstly, I'd like a friend ... someone to talk with, discuss my (and her) hopes, dreams, fears, worries, interests. Even just tell each other about our days, or something we heard about on the news - whatever. Afterwards? Who knows ... it might turn into something much more ... and that would be great too.

Most important, she has to be able to make me laugh (it's not difficult), in turn I'd do my best to do so for her too. Someone understanding, caring, compassionate and trustworthy. Oh, I do prefer sticking to my own ethnicity.
