Hobbies: | As a freelance writer, I spend a lot of time on my PC. For fun, I usually play World of Warcraft, but Im currently taking a vacation from my garrison to play Pillars of Eternity. A lot of my non-computer time is spent reading: I love non-fiction about history and science, as well as sf/fantasy. I do like camping and hiking, although I haven't done those for ages - all my friends are too nerdy to go with me (alas). | Hot spots: | Orgrimmar. Oh wait, you mean, in real life? Probably a bookshop. | Sports: | Walking / Hiking | Favorite things: | Authors: Jack Vance, Connie Willis, Richard Fortey. Music: Jerry Goldsmith, Elmer Bernstein, John Williams. Movies: Cyrano De Bergerac (the Depardieu version), Gladiator, The Empire Strikes Back. TV Shows: Hannibal, Orphan Black, Firefly. Games: Planescape Torment, Baldurs Gate, World of Warcraft, Guild Wars. | Last reading: | The Three-Body Problem by Liu Cixin, and Ancillary Sword by Ann Leckie. | Common interests: | Movies / Videos, Book club / Discussion, Camping, Music and concerts |

| | Descriptive information | |
Date me: | I have a very dry sense of humour, and I think I'm quite amusing. I'm always willing to partake in geeky hobbies, but Im pretty introverted so I'm most at home with a book or behind a screen. I've been told I'm attractive and fun to be with, and I'm generally very laid-back and optimistic. | What I want: | I like fellow nerds and geeks. If you have similar interests to me, then well get on well. Obviously I'm looking for someone who possesses the usual positive qualities (kindness, thoughtfulness), but thats a bit pointless to say - I mean, does anyone go onto a dating site to look for someone cruel and rude? Looks are not important, but chemistry is: I'm not keen on meeting someone with whom I haven't had good conversations by email (I dislike chatting on Whatsapp/BBM unless we're already friends). |
